Cunnigan Tags Cubs for 5 Hits

It doesn't happen very often, but it did for Don Cunnigan -- a 5-hit effort. He went on a rampage at Q Stadium and paced the 6-2 Warriors win over the Quincy Cubs.

After his dynamite batting performance, the Danville right fielder told reporters that he "just tried to get in a good count and have a good at-bat. That's all I can control."

His philosophy paid dividends today. He slammed 5 hits in 5 tries and put his name in the record book. Don Cunnigan hit an RBI single in the 1st, doubled in the 3rd, singled in the 5th, singled in the 7th and singled in the 9th.

So far this season, Cunnigan has 4 home runs and a .355 batting average.
