League Suspends Duluth-Superior RF Drewett

Mike Drewett of the Duluth-Superior Dukes has been reprimanded and given a 2-game suspension for a shouting match with the plate umpire during a recent game at Wade Stadium with the Sioux Falls Packers. The Dukes right fielder said he didn't touch the umpire, but the umpire insisted he did.

"I didn't see it, I didn't feel it," Drewett said. "I was trying everything I could not to make contact with him. The league always sides with umpires. There is no use to appeal."

For the year, Drewett has hit .198 with 2 home runs, 12 RBIs and scored 8 runs.
