Obregon on Fire, 5-for-6 Against Sumter
Francisco Obregon was at the head of a Greenwood hit parade at Legion Stadium. The second baseman went to the plate 6 times and came away with 5 hits, sparking the Braves to a nice 15-7 victory over the Sumter Guardians.
"I told the guys in the dugout, just be thinking about hitting the ball hard somewhere," the sweet-swinging Obregon told reporters after the game. "Seems like it worked out well for us today."
Guardians skipper <Larry Nielson:coach#434> said later that the club gave up "too much plate."
"Not the way we planned it," he said. "Every hitter in the league will rip you when you do that."
Francisco Obregon flied out in the 1st, hit an RBI double in the 3rd, singled in the 4th, hit a two-run double in the 5th, doubled in the 6th and singled in the 8th.
Obregon on the season is batting .343 with 4 home runs. His totals include 22 RBIs and 24 runs scored. He has played in 43 games.

Obregon 5-for-7 Against Red Sox
Players get multi-hit games all the time, but 5-hit games are something else entirely. Francisco Obregon walloped 5 hits in 7 at-bats for the Greenwood Braves in a career day at Meadowbrook Park, but it was the Greenville Red Sox who won the ballgame, 5-4.
"My swing was really, really there," Obregon said afterward. "I made some good, solid contact and when that happens, good things happen. And hey, 5-for-7 and losing is better than 0-for-7 and losing, right?"
Francisco Obregon grounded out in the 1st, singled in the 3rd, singled in the 5th, doubled in the 7th, singled in the 9th, grounded out in the 10th and singled in the 12th.
