Peters Goes 5-for-7
Some moments become linked with a particular player's career forever. Robert Peters of the Billings Mustangs had one of those moments when he went 5-for-7 at the plate in his team's 18-1 win over the Great Falls Giants at Legion Field.
"I won't forget this anytime soon, and I don't expect it to happen too often," the 21-year-old first baseman told reporters in the postgame interview. "I'll be happy to just get a hit or two every day. Enough to hang around the league a while longer. Like 10, maybe 15 more years."
Robert Peters hit an RBI single in the 1st, singled in the 3rd, grounded out in the 4th, hit an RBI single in the 6th, struck out in the 6th, hit an RBI single in the 7th and singled in the 9th.
