In a seemingly effortless performance, Ricky Shepard of the GCL Cardinals shot down the GCL Twins, 3-0, on 9 hits.

"Ricky was just locating so well and using his pitches," GCL manager Jayden Gardner said later. "He wasn't leaving anything over the plate."

Shepard recorded 8 strikeouts and 2 walks in a strong outing.

"When he needed to make pitches, he elevated his game," GCL manager <Luke Stevens:coach#766> said in postgame comments to BNN. "We couldn't get a key hit off him."

So far this season, Shepard has a 1-2 record with a 2.64 ERA.
