The Omaha right fielder had a field day in his team's 13-9 triumph over the Iowa Oaks, finishing 5-for-7.

"My hitting philosophy is simple," he said. "I focus on just seeing the ball and I try to get a good pitch."

Skrable must have focused at least 5 times and apparently got some good pitches, too, leading to one of his best days ever with the bat. Patrick Skrable flied out in the 1st, singled in the 3rd, singled in the 5th, hit an RBI single in the 5th, singled in the 6th, singled in the 8th and grounded out in the 9th.

This season, Skrable is batting .313 with 42 hits and 3 home runs. He has scored 21 times and has 18 runs batted in.
