Players get multi-hit games all the time, but 5-hit ones are a whole lot rarer. It happened at San Diego Stadium when Tommie Agee of New York scattered 5 hits all over the ballpark against the San Diego Padres.

He went 5-for-6 in a career performance to help the Mets get by the Padres, 13-2. The center fielder was in a talkative and jovial mood after the game, saying his swing "was really, really there today."

"I made some good, sweet-spot contact and when that happens, good things happen," he said. "You know, like going 5-for-6. I could get used to days like this."
