Well, good pitching also beats bad hitting.

Dock Ellis of the Pittsburgh Pirates proved the point at Astrodome, holding the Houston Astros to 6 hits in a complete game shutout victory.

"Ellis made us look real bad today," Astros manager <Harry Walker:coach#10> said in a postgame interview. "He was outstanding. He was down in the zone with all his pitches. Everything was sinking."

Ellis had 4 strikeouts and gave up 2 walks as the Pirates took the 7-0 win.
