IL Player of the Week Chosen
When it came to hitting the baseball, Gene Clines was in a class by himself in the International League this past week. Nobody did it better.
The outstanding center fielder for Columbus tagged opposing pitchers for a .520 average and was voted the Player of the Week Award. Included in his stats were 13 hits in 25 at-bats, 2 homers, 9 runs scored and 8 RBIs.
