Tacoma Befuddled by Hardy in 8-0 Loss

Salt Lake City Bees starter Larry Hardy really did a number on the Tacoma Cubs, shutting them out, 8-0, on 5 hits in a complete game victory. He issued 3 walks and had 6 strikeouts.

"We didn't have good at-bats," said Tacoma manager <Jason McHone:coach#260>. "I don't make excuses, but when we were playing the game, our energy didn't show. That comes from either extremely good pitching or extremely lousy hitting and seeing as our team has a bunch of good hitters, I have to tip my cap to Hardy."
