Jerry Nyman really had his stuff working at Derks Field. The Salt Lake City Bees hurler mystified the Spokane Indians, shutting them out, 5-0. Nyman allowed a total of 5 hits in the ballgame and struck out 5.

"The shutout is nice, but I'm just happy we won," Nyman said with a smile after the game. "Coach can be a real bear when we lose."
