Clark 5-for-5 for Astros
No matter what the West Palm Beach Expos threw at him, Glen Clark hit it. He easily handled Expos pitching, going 5 for 5 and helping the Astros triumph, 9-3, at West Palm Beach Municipal Stadium.
"The way I was swinging, I think I could have closed my eyes and hit the ball," he told BNN reporters in the postgame interview.
Told of Clark's quip, Expos skipper <Chris Cooper:coach#491> said he "would take him up on that next time."
Glen Clark walked in the 1st, singled in the 2nd, singled in the 3rd, singled in the 6th, singled in the 7th and singled in the 9th.
Clark is hitting .330 so far this season with 11 RBIs and 15 runs scored. He has 38 hits including 1 home run, 18 walks and .418 OBP.
