Haller on Fire: 5-for-5 for Los Angeles

It was a downpour of hits for Tom Haller at Riverfront Stadium.

The Los Angeles Dodgers catcher tore into Cincinnati for 5 hits in 5 at-bats to pace the Dodgers to a rain-delayed 12-0 victory. Cincinnati manager <Sparky Anderson:coach#7> bemoaned his pitching, speculating his club got flustered by Haller's big day.

"He was beating us and we stopped locating well," he said. "That makes you get behind in the count and you can't do that when a guy is hot like Haller was today. Not to take anything away from him, but bad location was the story of the ballgame."

Tom Haller hit a three-run home run off Gary Nolan in the 1st, singled in the 2nd, tripled in the 5th, singled in the 8th and singled in the 9th.

Haller is currently batting .276 with 3 home runs and 31 RBIs.
