5-for-7 Day for Sandt

Tommy Sandt had an answer for everything the Quincy Cubs threw at him at Q Stadium. The Burlington shortstop went 5-for-7 in the game to put his name in the record book and give the Bees a win, 11-6.

Summing up his batting philosophy to BNN writers after the game, Sandt said, "I just see the ball and I hit it."

Tommy Sandt singled in the 1st, singled in the 2nd, flied out in the 4th, doubled in the 7th, hit an RBI single in the 8th, walked in the 11th, hit a two-run home run off Richard Barnes in the 13th and grounded out in the 13th.

This year, Sandt is batting .309 with 2 home runs and 28 RBIs.
