Meschuk Casts Spell Over Walla Walla, as Dodgers Win

Medford Dodgers starter Mark Meschuk really did a number on the Walla Walla Phillies, shutting them out, 5-0, on 7 hits in a complete game victory. He issued 1 walk and had 13 strikeouts.

"We didn't have good at-bats," said Walla Walla manager <Matt Moore:coach#726>. "I don't make excuses, but when we were playing the game, our energy didn't show. That comes from either extremely good pitching or extremely lousy hitting and seeing as our team has a bunch of good hitters, I have to tip my cap to Meschuk."

Up to now Meschuk has compiled an ERA of 1.70 with a 4-1 mark over 8 starts. He has 79 strikeouts in 53 innings and has held opponents to a .195 batting average.
