Baltimore-Kansas City Announce Swap
Done deal! The Baltimore Orioles have agreed to send 21-year old minor league 2B Enzo Hernandez and 23-year old minor league RHP Bill Kirkpatrick to the Kansas City Royals for 34-year old RHP Moe Drabowsky. The trade, rumored for days, was completed in the wee hours this morning.
This year, Drabowsky has pitched 36.1 innings over 25 relief appearances, picking up no saves and held opponents to a .198 average. Drabowsky has a 2-2 record with a 1.49 ERA and 24 strikeouts.
Negotiations Building Between Orioles and Royals
League sources report that the Baltimore Orioles and the Kansas City Royals want to negotiate a trade. Talks so far have been "vigorous," according to one insider. It remains to be seen which players might be moved.
