Baltimore Shuts Out California, 1-0
Dave McNally kept the California Angels hitters from doing much damage at Anaheim Stadium.
California could only muster 3 hits and draw 2 walks against the left-handed McNally, who controlled them throughout the game. Baltimore won the contest, 1-0. McNally added 5 strikeouts in his complete-game effort.
"I don't know if I was on or if they were off today," McNally told reporters after the shutout win. "But whatever it was, I hope it happens again next time."
This season, McNally has gone 5-3 with an ERA of 2.78, posting 42 strikeouts in 74.1 innings.
