Pete LaCock put on a hitting clinic as the Quincy Cubs dumped the Quad Cities Angels, 12-3, at Davenport Municipal Stadium.

The Quincy center fielder made Quad Cities defenders earn their pay, lashing Quad Cities pitching for 5 hits in 6 at-bats in the game. He told BNN reporters after the game that his strategy was "just hit it where they pitched it."

"Too often I try too hard to pull the ball," LaCock said in his postgame press conference. "Today, I just went with the pitch."

Pete LaCock struck out in the 1st, singled in the 3rd, singled in the 5th, singled in the 6th, hit a three-run home run off Dave Sells in the 8th and hit an RBI single in the 8th.
