Tatum Belts 3 HRs
Hawaii center fielder Jarvis Tatum led the Islanders to a triumph, 8-4, over the Salt Lake City Bees, crushing three home runs.
"He's scary good when he's swinging the bat like that," said Hawaii skipper Mike Giller.
Indeed, Tatum put up some "scary good" numbers: three homers, 3 hits in 5 at-bats with 3 runs and 6 RBIs.
"I'm just thinkin' about winning ballgames," Tatum said. "When you think about home runs, you very seldom get 'em."
Jarvis Tatum hit a two-run home run off Al Santorini in the 1st, hit a solo-shot off Al Santorini in the 4th, struck out in the 5th, hit a three-run home run off Ron Willis in the 7th and grounded out in the 8th.
In 13 games this season, Tatum is batting .450 with 18 hits and 4 home runs. He has scored 14 runs and driven in 11.
