Louisville Shuts Out Tides, Lonborg Winner

Louisville Colonels pitcher Jim Lonborg blanked the Tidewater Tides, 1-0, at Fairgrounds Stadium, tossing a 1-hitter while issuing no walks and collecting 6 strikeouts.

After his sharp shutout performance, he shared credit with the rest of the club.

"I was just locked in out there and some of that is due to having a catcher who has such a great feel for hitters," Lonborg said. "I couldn't do what I did without all the guys out there today."

This year, Lonborg has compiled a 2-3 record with a 3.70 ERA.
