5 times is the charm -- at least for James Covington.

The Buffalo/Winnipeg Bisons/Whips left fielder tore up the Columbus Jets to the tune of 5 hits in 6 at-bats at War Memorial Stadium. The offensive onslaught from Covington powered the 9-8 Bisons/Whips win.

"Covington was a tough out," Columbus manager <Brian Tigner:coach#221> said to the press in the postgame interview. "He hit some very good pitches with that quick bat of his. Not an easy out, that's for sure."

James Covington hit a two-run double in the 1st, hit an RBI single in the 2nd, doubled in the 4th, singled in the 6th, hit an RBI single in the 7th, grounded out in the 9th and grounded out in the 11th.
