Red-Hot Horsch Cools Off Sioux Falls
The Watertown Expos did little to support starter James Horsch against the Sioux Falls Packers, but it turned out he didn't need the help.
The right-hander spun a complete game shutout against the Packers, striking out 9 and surrendering 3 hits. The performance from Horsch allowed Watertown to escape with the 2-0 win, despite an anemic offense.
"Nobody came to me and said, 'James, we're gonna need you to win this one for us today,' but I could feel it," Horsch told BNN reporters following the win. "I'm the guy that will step up for you when you need it."
