Atlanta, New York Execute Trade

It is being reported in New York that the Yankees and the Atlanta Braves have agreed on a trade. According to anonymous sources 23-year old minor league 1B Tony Solaita and 21-year old minor league RHP Thomas Couples will be dealt to the Braves in return for 31-year old RHP Milt Pappas and 22-year old minor league RHP Ron Schueler.


Currently Pappas has a record of 6-7 with 70 strikeouts and 28 walks in 115.2 innings and a 3.42 ERA.

The Atlanta Braves have been engaged in discussions with the New York Yankees about making a trade. Some issue has apparently kept Atlanta from sealing the deal. Insiders report, however, that both sides seem determined to work out their differences.
