LaRose Sparkles in 4-0 Blanking of Kinston
All went well for John LaRose of the Winston-Salem Red Sox as he pitched his team to a shutout victory, 4-0, over the Kinston Eagles, limiting them to 5 hits. In the postgame interview, both managers had glowing things to say about LaRose on the day.
"John's got a good selection of pitches he can throw at a guy," said Red Sox manager Steve Hebron. "He changes speed, gives different looks to different hitters. When he's on his game, he's quite a handful."
In the contest, the Winston-Salem left-hander rang up 9 and surrendered 2 walks.
"He didn't give us any second chances," said Eagles manager <Ross Wuestenberg:coach#578>. "It's a guessing game with him and today we were always guessing wrong."
