Angels Pitching Ravaged by Sandt
Tommy Sandt exploded for a barrage of base hits at Community Field.
The Burlington shortstop had a field day in his team's 8-0 triumph over the Quad Cities Angels, finishing 5-for-6.
"My hitting philosophy is simple," he said. "I focus on just seeing the ball and I try to get a good pitch."
Sandt must have focused at least 5 times and apparently got some good pitches, too, leading to one of his best days ever with the bat. Tommy Sandt flied out in the 1st, singled in the 2nd, hit an RBI single in the 3rd, hit an RBI double in the 4th, singled in the 6th and doubled in the 8th.
