Glover Has Hot Hand, Bangs 5 hits

Charlotte second baseman Jim Glover could do no wrong today, but the Hornets could.

Glover collected 5 hits against the Jacksonville Suns, but he couldn't win the game. Charlotte fell, 5-2, in extra innings at Clark Griffith Park.

"It's a shame we didn't win," Glover said later. "It would have been a very special day if that had happened."

"In every one of his at-bats, things were in his favor," Suns manager <Joe Hill:coach#337> said. "We couldn't keep him from getting ahead in the count and once you get ahead, it makes it a lot easier because you get better pitches to hit."

Jim Glover singled in the 2nd, struck out in the 4th, flied out in the 6th, singled in the 9th, singled in the 10th, struck out in the 12th, singled in the 14th and singled in the 16th.

Currently Glover is batting .315 with 34 hits and 2 home runs. He has knocked in 14 runs and scored 15 times.
